Moving again

Left Pingrup in the morning on the next leg Dumbleyung is a very pretty town has a lovely park in the main street is a real credit to the shire.

Found a small gift shop that was open and some christmas presents were bought.

There is a wonderful display on Donald Campbell and his water speed record and a replica of the bluebird.

Lots more information to be read on the information plaques

Unfortunately Western Power was doing work in the area so the whole town was off power!!!!

Stopped off at Lake Dumbleyung to see how much water was in it, is pretty full.

They have done quite a lot of work around the club house

This will be the last one til our next trip, it has been very enjoyable to share our adventure with you all.

On the road again to Pingrup.

From Lake King to Pingrup was a smooth easy drive, on the way checked out the

Newdegate Silo art. Really nice designs.

The crops coming into Newdegate all look good, some of the whiskery wheat has really dried off while the ordinary wheat is still very green. The bush still looks good and healthy still lots of colourful flowers, really wide rode in great condition very little traffic.

Much the same sort of country for half the way to Pingrup then lots more farms with big paddocks of wheat, oats, broad beans, and lupins.

We could see how much rain there has been as some road edges and drains have been badly washed out and are still in need of repair. Arrived in Pingrup found the caravan park and setup for the night. Only a small caravan park but has modern ablutions which is nice. There is lots of single accommodation. Been told maybe mozzies at sunset so will wait and see.

A few photos around town and of items in the street.

Think this is the tractor used in the silo art.

The Silo art is lovely as you can see from the photos.

Ravensthorpe

Decided to leave the van in Lake King and just do a day trip to Ravensthorpe.

Brrrr a cold night again bit of a lazy wind but sunshine which is lovely. Took a sedate drive more crops there are Lupins, favor beans and peas.

The bush is mostly Mallee and is looking lush and green with quite a variety of flowers .

There now a new mine about 2ks from the town "The Galaxy Lithium Mine Australia Ltd" Tim says quite a lot has changed since he was there last. We discovered on arrival that it is their charity week. Each day a different group serve Devonshire tea to raise money for their chosen charity. So after yummy scones jam and cream we went to find the wildflower display.

Oh boy it was amazing the amount of flowers on display it is very impressive these photos are only a small section of what there was, there were also craft items for sale 2 hours later....

It was off the find the Silo viewing place close up they look brilliant so are now looking forward to see the others on our short trip.
