Victoria River Roadhouse

We were stunned by the vista that opened to us as we came around a corner on the highway. We were greeted by rocky outcrops and ranges as we came into Victoria River roadhouse just magnificent!!!

Without knowing what was in store for us we had already decided that we would spend 4 nights in the caravan park here. The boys wet their lines again in the hopes of those elusive fish, they got the usual results as you can see by Tim`s catch hahahaha……

I have come to the conclusion that the stories of BIG fish being caught are all B---s—t which is confirmed by a worker here who says the photos used in the brochures are all about 10 years old.
Way to get people in I suppose!
This morning while at the roadhouse to buy something 2 rangers came in with a trailer behind their vehicle it had a live salt water crocodile tied on the trailer covered in hession we were lucky enough to be given a 2 minute run down on crocodiles and be able to feel the hide we were both very surprised as what one thinks is very hard skin is actually very very soft touch.

Still we are off fishing along the river tomorrow evening just on sunset for a couple of hours so will let you know the results later.
