We booked
into the camp ground at Edith Falls National Park which is lovely has grassed
areas at all sites with trees and shrubs between each one, also taps with
drinking water which is shared by all on the path leading to the amenities
block, at $20 a night is well worth the money.
We packed up
our back pack with food and water, grabbed the camera and were off on the walk
trail a first try out for Kathy`s ankle after her fall.
After a very
slow climb up the side of the gorge, we made it to the top- (one can see a very
long way from up here.) Now down the other side getting small views through the
trees of the falls and pool where one is able to swim.
We
eventually arrived and have to say in our opinion is just beautiful with crystal
clear water flowing over the rocks and crevices. The falls are lovely and well
worth the effort to see them we are glad we came.
The area around the lower falls and plunge/swimming pool is lovely with grass under the shade of the big trees and steps leading down into the water. Going on the amount of people here it is a very popular place to swim and camp. A small kiosk provides some refreshments and cold drinks and take the money for the camp ground.
