36 Miners Cottage

The Miners Cottage is a mini museum of 4 rooms packed so full there is not much room to move. So many items it was difficult to see everything. It is one man`s collection of items over 25 years.

We enjoyed browsing around looking at everything.

From there we went up Towers Hill Lookout – Boy it was worth the trip to the top as the photo`s will a test one can see for a very long way.
Gold was discovered at the foot of Towers Hill in December 1871 by an aboriginal horse boy named Jupiter. The three peaks have been used well since the discovery of gold as a Mining Site, As an Early telegraph route and for Ordinance storage during WWII.
