We have spent the last week camped at Point Lowly doing not much at all. The weather has been a bit crappy with wind and rain and overcast a lot of the time so Desma and I have been happy just to be inside. The boys have ventured out quite often to throw a line in and have managed to catch enough squid and fish for us to eat quite well.
A great dinner tonight. Fresh Squid, Fresh fish parcels with tomatoe and onions in lemon juice and Potatoe bake.

Point Lowly is the tip of a small peninsula north north-east of
Whyalla in the Upper Spencer Gulf region of South Australia. The wider
peninsula is shared by a combination of defence, industrial,
residential, recreational and tourism interests.
There are quite a few beach cottages around the shore line now with some new homes being built, also some cottages for sale.
It costs $6 a night to camp here with a toliet block and cold showers being the amenties. Graham counted 26 campers here the other night people are coming and going all the time. So they do make quite a bit of money from the campers.
Amenities block
The beaches are made up of heaps of rocks difficult to walk along.
The local wild life
We have enjoyed our time here and are off heading north again on Monday. Next stop will be Lake Hart camp ground the other side of Pimba / Woomera
