The main part of the house is back in order and looks fantastic.

Still have to put the shelves and hanging rail in the robe in the master bedroom.
The new room still has to be finished but Allan and Pat will do that at their leisure.
The front verandah is now nice and clean and does not look like a workshop anymore.
Spa is filled and up to temperature so Tim and Kathy relaxed in there last night for a while.

Ratty the superviser has been a bit slack and been sleeping on the job.

Us old farts have done a fantastic over the last 6 weeks and we are so please with how everything has come together and looks now it is finished just drapes to go up.

We`ve all done very well!!!

Tim and Kathy are off home, so this will be the last blog about the renovations.
Take care all and will see the regulars when we start traveling again.
God bless and thank you for looking.

On to painting

Yay we are definately on the home stretch.

Walls moved, Gyprock done and plastered, now the painting is on the go.
While Allan organised other things to be done, Tim, Pat and Kathy got busy with the paint brushes.

Allan cleaning old tiles to make way for the new ones using the jackhammer.
Allan cutting tiles ready for the floor.

Master bedroom, Lounge, Office, New room & Passage.
All had to be done, Kathy & Pat doing the cutting in, while Tim got busy with the roller.

 Tim on the roller
Pat paint in the pantry

Tim got really cheeky at one stage and said Kathy had to wash out the paint 10 litre bucket which we had emptied, so it could be used for other things.

Now its Kathys turn OH WHAT A NICE HAND PRINT ON HIS BOTTOM!!!

The electrician has been and done all the lights and moved the switches also put in new ceiling fans.
A couple of days and all the painting is done.

 Master bedroom and robe

Next it was the tiling of the floors, Allan and Tim did a great job of them.

3rd Instalment of home renovations.

Well are you all ready for the thrilling 3rd instalment of our home renovations.
The weather has not been kind to us, we have had hot weather enough to melt us some days with the humidity and thunderstorms……..

 Thunder storm building up
 Getting blacker
Still a bit of lighter clouds
Evening thunder clouds
Rain in the distance
Thunder sent Rusty running around barking trying to catch it and kill it, his barking made Allan angry needless to say it was very entertaining to watch. The worst part was he started barking again at 3am trying to kill that horrible noisy thing out there.

There was sanding, sanding and more sanding….. Plastering, plastering and more plastering, Tim almost became a snowman!!!!
Jean & Geoff came to visit but work went on. We shifted the bedroom doorways around and patched the holes, added the new passage wall, the gyprock went up in the new room and the new passage.

Swapping doorways around

MORE plastering and sanding. Then the final coat was put on.
 Yay!!! B….r more sanding!
Insulation
Gyprock going up

 Timothy sanding

Set in the window and door in the new room and did some cladding on the outside to hold the insulation in place.

Door into the new room

Decided a weekend off was due so Kathy & Tim headed for Geraldton to visit friends, while Allan & Pat supposedly took it easy…… Yeah they pulled up the other skirting boards, put the rest of the fibro boards up on the front verandah and cleaned up ready to start again when the wanders returned.
Here we have

 TIM HAVE STIRRER WILL TRAVEL!!!!!!

Allan- Got upset by a DOVE sitting on the shed TV antenna doing its todo who todo who todo whoing birdie thing,

bash, bash, bash on the shed Allan went, so it just moved camp out to the front to the TV antenna and continued todo who, todo who, todo whoing thing, look out bird here he comes again. Meanwhile we are all in fits of laughter at the antics.
You have to see it to believe it!

In between all this work going on we also had to eat so meals were as easy as possible to prepare.

Evenings are absolutely beautiful and cool and with the entertainment that abounds is very enjoyable.

Until next time bye from us here at Renovation Home.
