49 Ross River Dam

Graham & Desma – Kathleen & Tim Went off touring to the Ross River Dam.

This dam helps to control the flood waters through the town as well as a water supply.

The dam was built over a span of time to be what it is today, and as far as the eye can see there is water.

The rock wallabies have called the rock wall home and depending on the day (Cold windy – Hot sunny) as to where you see them. At first it is very hard to spot them as they are well camouflaged in the rocks. It soon becomes easier as your eyes adjust; they sit so elegantly on the rocks soaking up the warmth from the sun and rocks.

Going to and from the dam through the suburbs and shopping centres, there was much to see.

The golden arches called us for a cuppa on the way home so had to stop and enjoy one.
