This one IS a lazy one…….
Yellow spot is where we camped.
Tim & I did a walk all around town found where all the
shops had been only concrete slabs left now, also had a great couple of
hours wandering around the mine site.
With the knowledge of Morawa`s Iron ore mine we were able to work out the old foundations, assay office, change rooms, workshop,offices, crusher plant, stock piles etc then the open pit with the bench levels bought back memories of Morawa.
The funnest or scariest is there are no signs warning people of Radiation!!!
No signs to say not to swim in the water in the base of the mine pit!!!
It looked very inviting lovely and blue green just sitting there inviting one to swim.
Tony and Sue stayed at the vans as they
had been here before.
We would love to have stayed longer but our time is now
running short and had to move on b….r!
