69 Mc Hugh Lookout and countryside

On the way to Ravenshoe pronounced "Ravens-hoe" we found McHugh Lookout so went for a sticky.

Fantastic one can see for a great distance everything looks lush and green.

It is only about 30ks to Ravenshoe, the road is really good, as there have been lots of roadworks in other parts of Queensland where the roads are being fixed up after the floods. The country changes quite quickly as one drives through it.

We stopped at the Information centre as we came into town. They have a delightful exhibition of the area all done in fabric and quilting. Leaves, insects, mushrooms and such all made from fabric.

We really enjoyed chatting to the volunteer who was on for the day and checking the centre out.

We found the Steam Rail Travellers Rest Area booked for the week so now all set to relax and see the sights.

Question for Graham this is the plant I was trying to show you way back when we left Blackbutt. Can you tell me what it is please?
