68 The Crystal Caves

As you drive through Atherton main street  you come upon a strange car advertising

 “The Crystal Caves” Gem stone gallery – Collection.

As you enter the shop you go WOW there is so much to see. So many gem stones and pieces of jewellery to see. After a good look around we paid our money to go into the manmade crystal caves.

Wearing a hard hat with light on top, it was WOW again and again and again as we walked through.

The collection is worldwide set into the ceilings, walls, odd corners and holes and hollows.

Then stand in awe in front of the most spectacular discovery out of Uruguay.

The worlds  biggest Amethyst Geode with the title of “The Empress of Uruguay”.

Standing 3.5 metres tall and weighing 2.5 tonnes. The Empress is very, very special.

The thousands of crystals she displays are rated “AA jewellery quality” – all created naturally inside her millions of years ago.
