72 The Crater and Dinner Falls

A sorry here the “F” on the laptop has given up the ghost so if a strange word turns up please check if an F is missing.

It was raining and foggy today as we set out, coming up the range towards Herberton was very interesting, especially through the rain forest.

We arrived at The Crater car park and set off on the path to have a look. Sue and Kathy carried umbrella`s to try and keep dry.

As guess where the rain coats were?????

Yes, you guessed it in the caravan!

Even though it was wet it was very pretty and interesting looking at all the plants that grow in the rain forest. Moss grows everywhere and ferns of all different sorts. The walk was really worth it to see what was at the end.

WOW our photos don’t do it justice so we have put a couple of websites for you.
The green on the water is apparently Duck Weed

Dinner Falls

These falls went for quite a long way and we had to walk down, down, down following the river as it went down.

The problem was most of the interesting spots were hidden behind trees so made it difficult to see and take photos.

A couple of really good spots at least were open enough for photos so here you go.
