59 The Sugar Museum Mourilyan

Left Tully heading to Innisfail this morning with overcast skies that turned to rain as we arrived at the August Moon Caravan Park.

Set up camp in the rain and stayed in the vans for the rest of the day. Still raining the next day, did a quick trip into town between showers, but mostly stayed at the park.

Better day today so off looking first off at The Sugar Museum at Mourilyan just out down the road out of Innisfail.

Wandered through for about 2 hours very informative with machinery that was used when cane farming first started.

We did not realize there were so many islanders employed in the industry in the beginning.

Added another dimension to what we had already learnt.
