21 Tour of Gordon Country

Gordon Country is a 4 thousand acre property belonging to the Gordon’s.
Now mainly used as holiday camping, Caravan Park and cabins for hire.

It rained the first day so we ended up with mud everywhere as there had been earth works done a few weeks before and the grass had not yet grown back.

Mark took us for a tour to light the gas fridges in all the cabins as there were a lot of guest expected. He generally maintains most things.

Beautiful country again lush and green not much water in the river so we were able to wander along in the river bed over the stones and sand.

There was even a Bush Bar though no drinks were available. Some very ingenious person had been very busy during their stay.

There has been a lot of water rush down here as you can see by the edge of the bank.

During our tour we were taken to the top of Mount Castle for a look.
WOW up in the clouds and rain forest it was beautiful  these photos are taken with Tim`s camera as I did not have mine with me.

Tree ferns, Palms, huge Pine trees, Elephant ear plants, all sorts grow here and the photos do not do it justice I`m sorry.

We determined to get Sue and Tony to the top for a look.         Sue does not like spots where the road drops away on each side so had to think of some way to achieve our goal but that would be for another day before we leave.
