Left at 7.30am on the next leg to Yatala. Started off a bit
overcast with sun shining through. As the day progressed so it warmed up. The
further east we went the closer to the coast we came, once we could see the
ocean it was very calm with a gentle swell running. Had morning tea on the
cliff top. Did a lunch stop at “The Nullarbor” Fuel/hotel the most expensive
fuel so far diesel 208.9 cents ULP 206 cents. Saw the burnt out trucks
& trailers that were on TV the other day plus another fridgerated trailer
that was also burnt out. Very little road kill so far this time saw a few
eagles, lots of crows, not a great deal of animal life. The whole countryside
really looks good, all in all a good days travel. Arrived early afternoon at the old quarry to
be greeted as we alighted from the cars by millions of March flies so the spray
came out very quickly to deter them, even the dogs headed for cover…..
