Received instructions on how to get to 4 Mile Campground as
none of our GPS`s were working properly here in NSW (need to update I think!!) Well
what a lovely spot right on the river. Has a small parking area set out for
caravans and campervans to park with toilets and showers that would be cold and
breezy in winter, lovely and peaceful.
Graham & Desma decided that the next day Wednesday they
would leave us and head on home to Blackbutt to get things sorted and we will
meet them there after visiting our nephew just out of Allora.
We parted company at Walgett G & D heading off through
Lightening Ridge and us with Tony & Sue going on to Burren Junction to
visit their friends, who kindly let us park on their property.
The property was originally the Cobb & Co horse change
over station; it still has the original building standing on it.
3 rooms in total bedroom, lounge, kitchen & front veranda.
It has been renovated and been used as a home having a
shower/laundry room added for modern convenience, also a back veranda.
We were told to park where ever, power and water are there
use what you want.
The veranda became our spot of choice to sit and watch the
world go by after doing the washing.
We checked out the Bore baths which are warm to hot
artesian mineral water just flowing out of the ground.
