23 Queen Mary Falls

Continuing on uphill and down dale, and through little towns.

The road started to climb upwards and upwards and upwards twisting and turning.

We arrived at a little shop and caravan park in the middle of nowhere with a big sign saying.
“No trucks, Buses, Caravans or Motor homes past this point because road conditions are steep and twisty”.  Written on the bottom 20 minutes to NSW Border.
There was a small park with tables as well as a map showing walk tracks.
So off we went down the hill until we came to the river that was just meandering along we crossed over on a foot bridge and continued walking suddenly at a lookout the river just disappeared over a drop of about 100 metres WOW OH WOW!!!! Magnificent.

 Tony, Tim & Mark

We moved on along the walk track zig zaging down all the time on the south side of the mountain, through varies levels of rainforest to the bottom of the water fall and looked up, this was double WOW OH WOW!!!

After more photos we crossed over the river again and began to climb up the other side back to the car park. This side of the climb the country was completely different not rain forest just BIG trees and rocks.

A fantastic place to visit we were all in awe of the falls.

After lunch we headed back to camp going through Warwick again so the boys could replenish their supplies of beer and wine for happy hour.

Mark and Ann joined us for a delicious roast dinner a great evening was had by all with lots of laughter and fun to finish a super day out.
